When a pop-up comes up my cursor will automatically go to a button waiting to click that button. Like if I have a download, as soon as the download window pops up asking if I want to download, the cursor will automatically move to the download button. I use robo form for my passwords and when that pops up the cursor goes straight over to the fill forms button. When I went to the control panel - mouse - pointer options, the snap to box is unchecked. I don't know why else my cursor would do that. It started about a week ago. And that is the only problem with my mouse. It doesn't mysteriously move across the screen or anything, just jumps to default buttons of pop-ups. Does anyone know what else would cause this?

try going into the snap-to box and checking it. After you do apply and then uncheck it again. do it and apply it a couple times. sometimes windows will get buggy and if you do something like that itll fix it... and no, pop-ups dont have snap-to functions built in... it isnt possible for a flash program to modify your mouse position unless you are a superhacker. I may be wrong, but most of the time most of these programmers dont have enough time or motivation to do something like this for an Ad.

I thought "mouse properties" under control panel, but I misread your question. Do you have any add-ons that relate to your mouse functionality, or have you installed a program that would over-ride your control panel?

Something similar happened to me, and I had to save a back-up disk of my work, and reload windows. I think that was overkill, but it worked... Something just isn't communicating the change in 'mouse' but try checking, saving, unchecking, and saving again. That helped with an issue for me once.

Good Luck!

I am sure that these pop ups have ''snap to'' built in so that the people who click all the time may inadvertently accept something without realising it. the people who make these pop ups are up to all the tricks!!
