As soon as the market in Linux machines is big enough, yes there probably will. There are more and more manufacturer's offering Linux as an option on new machines, it just takes time. But only people with a commercial interest are likelty to take this up as it is a major job porting to a different OS, and until now the general attitude of everything being free for Linux is holding these back.

This is quite a funny situation, many of the games you mention actually use game engines that were developed on Unix based systems and then converted to run on Windows, so to actually make these games work for Linux all it would require is for them to recompile the game engine for the specific distro, which really wouldn't take much to produce a Linux version of the game as all the other files, like the models, maps, etc would be exactly the same.

Because Linux is a form of Unix and many of the games were developed in a Unix environment then it really shouldn't anywhere near as much to turn them into Linux games as opposed to the amount of work required to get them to work with the Windows API.

However I really can't see that full Linux gaming is going to happen any time soon. I've been wanting Linux gaming myself for over 10 years now and still we're not really close. The best option is to play these games through WINE on Linux as I really wouldn't hold my breath for many of these titles to come out for Linux, although Linux is a far better platform for playing games on as it doesn't waste as much of the system resources as Windows does and plows all the power of the machine directly into the game.

Hopefully as Linux becomes more popular, which is already is among many computer enthusiasts (not including gamers :P ) we will begin to see more support for it. Maybe Steam will come to Linux, as it did with Mac, and bring some nice ports of the games with it.

Right now, there just isn't a big enough market for game development on Linux to be worthwhile. Linux needs to appeal to a bigger market in order to get interest of big developers.

Hopefully if that happens we will many new games being introduced onto Linux, just as is happening with Mac (although it's happening veeeeeeeeeery slowly)

I would think so, as steam for Linux should be out later this year.

Also, there are several games which have been ported to Linux already. Just keep an eye on the humble bundle.
