it should not slow down the computer just make sure you do regular maintenance on pc like delete temp files and junk files and defragment the hard drive.

I have about 6 GB of pictures, and it hasn't slowed my machine down much. (I have only 250 GB on hand.)

The only time I notice any delays is if I'm saving something to one of my graphics directories; if there are several thousand files in that directory, Windows has to look at the whole list before it gives me the Save button.

According to the statistics of your computer presented in the link, you have a nice desktop:)

Regarding the pictures, they will not slow down your computer. The only real factor is the over load of files and "fragmentation"

That will teach you how to make sure your computer runs smoothly as it does not need to search for files scattered all over the place!

Enjoy! :)

never.my suggestion is you should have all your photos in a separate drive and should not have any other software/games or any other files which you use regularly.you amy have picassa along with it.do defragment of your pc.download defragler from www.filehippo.com and do it.problem will be solved
