Recently my external hard drive died and a lot of my digital album collection was on there. Luckily I have a 80GB iPod and most of my albums are on there. I'd like to back up my collection onto my new external hard drive. I have already saved all the songs from my iPod onto my computer, but with that, you get multiple files inside multiple sub folders (in my case 49). I've already went through 15 folders, copying and pasting into one large folder but it's taken a good amount of time. There has to be a faster way. I'd like to copy all the files from the remaining subfolders and past them into one folder without having to open each folder, select all, copy and then paste. Any ideas? I'm using Windows 7.

You could try using the "Search" tool in Windows Explorer...

Open the folder where the other folders are, i mean, the folder in the external drive that

contains all the mixed folder/files...

Search this:

*.*

The search term is: asterisk dot asterisk (all together)

this search term should return all files and folders, this will allow you to select all files,

copy or cut them and paste them any place you like...

Good luck!

Why won't have the capacity to you progression all the folders, somewhat than getting rid of the contents and putting them right into a considerable monolith of a folder. The folders will a minimum of shrink out some muddle.
