How do I change my IP address using Opera?

I recently updated my Opera Internet browser and everything that I search on how to change my IP address doesn't apply to the updated version and it is confusing me to the extreme.. please help me!

This doesn't make sense. Your IP address is assigned at the network level and has nothing to do with the browser. You need to provide more information.

you mean like the 'turbo mode'? (i think it was called)



click on 'Opera' at the top left, 'Off Road Mode'



they changed the name of it.

Your IP address is not assigned by the browser. Sometimes you cannot change your ip (if you have a static one), but if you can or if you don't know if you have a static or dynamic then try this.

1. Open Command Prompt. (Click on start then type in "cmd" without the quotation marks and press enter.)

2. A black window with white text should appear like the image attached.

3. Type in "ipconfig /release" in the cmd without the quotation marks. Then press enter.

4. Type in "ipconfig /renew" in the cmd without the quotation marks and press enter.

5. Check if you have a new ip.



If you don't have a new ip address then try to unplug your router overnight and plug it back in when you wake up. That should change it. If it doesn't then it means you have either a static ip or like me you have AT&T which uses a special type of dynamic ip that doesn't change.
