I have an old Netbook with Windows XP on it, but I'm looking to overwrite that with a very small and very low-system-requirements version of Linux. I'm sure the latest Ubuntu and Fedora would not be able to run on it, because it can barely run the higher-quality of the Windows XP interfaces, I have to run it in Windows Classic. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking Linux Mint or the oldest stable version of Ubuntu I can find.
The netbook is an Asus EEE PC with 1 gig of RAM, 40 GB hard drive, and a 900 MHz processor.
