Yes you can clear it, no problem. In settings...there is option for clearing cookies also. And you can also clear Windows/temp folder content also. But best way is using Diskcleanup tool of windows.

Yes it is safe/ok to delete cache.trash. In older versions of Firefox (ie: 1.0) when Firefox was shutdown it would take the dynamic Cache information and put it into cache.trash. Then when you reloaded firefox (opened it) it would take cache.trash and put it back into memory.

This is a cache, just as you can imagine -- for frequently visited pages, and other info to help web browsing speed.

IIRC, newer versions of Firefox don't use cache.trash -- ie: You delete it,.. you may notice it isn't created again. If you have NOT had an older version of firefox and this cache.trash exists then it is used by your current firefox version.

This folder can get quite large,.. so it is wise to clean it up after a while. I'd recommend making sure you have all usernames/passwords printed or memorized -- it won't affect your bookmarks and may not affect your stored Unames and Passwords.

Take care,

Yes, it s safe to delete the content of that. Temp folder is used if you want to open pics file defends on your program, it ais also use when you install a new program. That's why it is a temp so you can delete it. Use disk clean up to free some of your space.

I highly recommend you install a program called CCleaner. It's the BEST program on the market at getting rid of cache... temp files and other junk safely...
