Hotmail to apple mac mail on Leopard?

Question

I love the style and ideas behind mac mail but have far too many people that only know me on my hotmail account to convert to another email account.

Does anyone know how I can synchronize mail for leopard with my hotmail live account?

I looked online and a couple of plug-ins were suggested - I tried them but no success - it came up with a message saying I needed to download Windows live - the advanced version of hotmail which I already have!!

Can you suggest a way for hotmail to work with mac mail leopard or suggest how I can make an easy transition to another email account supported by the application?

I've tried the first one and it works very well. It was recently updated for Leopard.



Also, you can set up Hotmail to automatically forward e-mail to to a Gmail account, then use Gmail's free IMAP or POP interface with Mail.

No, i just got my mac recently and tried nearly everything to get hotmail to work with Apple Mail, but it's impossible unless apple come up with an update so you can

Haven't tried it myself, I just transferred my email addresses from my hotmail account to my Thunderbird account on my iMac. OS X 10.4 , Much easier.



Try Thunderbird or get a Gmail account - much better than Hotmail - much bigger.
