Can I give away my old dsl router?

We have sbc dsl internet and recently we just got the at&t Uverse which upgraded our router. We still have the old router and i was wondering if i can give it to my friend to use?

If your friend gets a DSL account, s/he will probably also get a modem. If s/he doesn't have a DSL account, your modem won't give her/him an internet connection.



But, yes, you can give away old modems.

Yeah, you should have no problem with that.

It should work for your friend, unless you had problems with it.

In that case maybe not.

They might have to have the same service as you used to have.

But it should work. I've given away old routers and modems many times.

yes you can,you just have to change the settings according to the new ISP and your ready to surf the internet.
