I keep getting this error message and the computer freezes up and shuts down. I tried the virus removal thing. Now my computer is slower than ever and I still keep getting this error message. What does it mean and how do I fix the problem? I called gateway and they didn't have any answers for me and I can't find any answers in the manual. Help! This is driving me crazy! It happens on ebay sometimes too, but only after I've been on awhile.

Sounds like your Java VM is corrupted.

Go to control panel and then to add/remove programs. Look for anything that refers to Java or JRE and uninstall it.

Reboot the comptuer. Get the lastest Java software from www.java.com

I am getting the same crappy error and it disables me from being able to play Demon's Souls. Which is a game you DON'T EVER want to lose because you can't back up the save file. I have come to the conclusion that this "it does everything PS3" is a skitzo piece of garbage. Allow me to make my point. I have a wireless network in my home that streams hd content. I have a PSP, DSI, Wii, Xbox 360, wireless printer, desktop pc, laptop pc, and a my POS Ps3. Guess which one is the ONLY one that has EVER disconnected from my network more than once while signed in, or playing a game. Go ahead, guess!! Yep my ps3. Even the weak little NINTENDO wii and ds do better than the "it does everything" pos ps3 and if my math servers me right all my other devices are tied with NEVER disconnecting from my network. Sony knows this but since so many people do not have all consoles and a hybrid wireless network, they will always think it is their internet service provider, and sony support will always tell you that also. When I called them awhile back concerning the multiple and intermitten network disconnections, they told me the same thing. They said, "it's your connection sir". THAT IS WHEN I DROPPED THE "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT TECH GUY" bomb and told him all the things I had on my network and how NONE of them fail even when all on at the same time. At that point the guy was stummped and told me to disable upnp and some other settings to get my ps3 to stream. So I just decided to use my xbox360 to stream instead. The ps3 is simply a POS stuffed with high end technology and NONE of it is meant to work together. I have gotten error codes that cannot be found on their support page. So this is just one thing in the world of crab that Sony is making for game consoles. The PSP go EPIC FAIL!! And I am happy about their failure!! They Screw the consumer by selling them something that is advertised as better only because most of their client base won't be able to isolate these issues or sony will blame them on someone else. Update or not, this is just another example of how sony does things. Break it first, fix it later, blame someone else, or disable a feature in order to get another feature to work. The only thing more complicated than this is a wife!!! I am a sony slave. I am a hostage because I have the system. But if you ask me, Sony already needs a new console to come out. We simply were their test victims and they filter the feedback. I am a sony hater, but only because they made me this way with a 2nd hand, goodwill network and a console that can't stay connected longer than a nintendo dsi. SAD!!! I hope the company failes, goes bankrupt and everyone that does the labor work at sony gets a better job and all the executives end up working for Sega....

Your Javascripot library file (jscript.dll) is damaged. Use whatever means Gateway gives you for repairing Windows (repair CD, repair choice on the boot menu) to repair Windows. Or, if the computer is stull under warranty, call them and tell them the situation and ask them how they want you to repair Windows.
