First off let me tell you that doing what you are asking is illegal and considered copyright infringement. Saying that I cannot condone you doing what I tell you and by no means am I telling you to. But, if you would like to know how to do it for educational purposes only, then you would need to ....



Get one of several programs. Either DVDFab, DVDDecrypter, or AnyDVD.



The first 2 programs will save the entire disc you are wanting to copy onto your HDD by bypassing the software that is preventing you from doing it by whatever means you are trying now. In these programs there is an option that allows you to copy just the movie and not any of the extra features/trailers.



Now you will need to get a program called handbrake. Once you have installed it you will click the "source" tab and click the folder that you saved your dvd to through either DVDFab or DVDDecrypter.



If you get AnyDVD instead all you will need to do is have AnyDVD running in your computer's background and then again in handbrake click "source". Now this way instead of choosing a folder you will choose your disc drive instead. AnyDVD bypasses the copyright protection without having to save the entire dvd to your hard drive. Doing it this way prevents the step of saving it to your HDD as a DVD folder but I'm not sure how you would remove trailers, bonus material, etc.



Once you have selected your source, then pick a destination on your HDD and on presets chose iPod. You would then click Start and your result would be a video file to put onto your ipod.
