What is your favorite desktop environment for GNU/Linux and what are your thoughts on GNOME3?

I've used a few different DEs on my Arch setup, but man! I really felt conflicted about GNOME3. It was like one step forward and another step back. I jumped back to XFCE after a few days.

So my question is: what is your favorite DE and why?

I only use Cinnamon because it's very,very fast on my computer light on resources and it's beautiful to look at

while doing my work.

While have used other desktops since then, various other linux versions, at home am mostly on openSUSE Leap 42.1 (x86_64) 64-bit with GNOME Version 3.16.2 :-)







Over a decade ago left MS-W for Linux, at time found openSUSE with GNOME desktop the first system to work from install without my needing change things :-)



Regularly recommend Business first time changing users start with SUSE SLES/SLED for their excellent support.





BTW, did like SUSE so much that invested in the parent company :-)

i like KDE, but also i have more than enough hardware for it to have no effect on performance at all.
