Hello, if any of you guys uses blockbuster, could you tell me if it is possible to capture or record Blockbuster videos for ipod?
I'd like to be able to capture or record and save a couple of blockbuster videos for ipod. Going away for a couple of days and I figured since I have to spend quite a long time on the road it would be interesting to save and watch blockbuster videos and movies on the ipod.

So any ideas on whether it is possible or not to capture or record Blockbuster videos and movies would be very helpful.

Actually @ marissa does have a point, I mean not about the part to record blockbuster movies with a camera but the part about using some app that also has screen capture features to capture or record Blockbuster on demand movies and videos.

I guess because apps with screen capture can capture pretty much everything that plays on the screen of your pc, it will also be able to capture blockbuster on demand movies that are being played on your pc and help you save blockbuster for ipod or whatever other devices. Just be careful, if you do go this way to keep the recording for your own personal use and enjoyment.

I think Tunebite could help you though with this problem; I haven't been using blockbuster lately but as far as I recall I saw round Tunebite's website that it can also be used as a Blockbuster Recorder and Converter.

Plus if you this Blockbuster recorder to capture or record blockbuster on demand movies, you will also be able to convert blockbuster movies for ipod, cell phone and so you would not need to find and use some separate app just to convert blockbuster movies for your ipod.

I guess you can just take a look at some more info on Tunebite Blockbuster recorder and see if it would work for you.

Well, have you think to capture or record Blockbuster videos with a video camera or better with a screen capturing tool, which could record the movie or video while you're watching or something like that?

I not very sure you'll manage to record movies from Blockbuster as I've never tried this one, but as long as the movie is streamed online on pc, a software which can capture and record the screen activity will capture and record movies from Blockbuster too, right?

And to convert those videos for your ipod, you'll need a video converter, I'd say to look for free ones, or much better I think that there are some screen capturing software which can also convert the videos to the formats you want. I don't know exactly a name right now as I didn't use such a tool for a long time, but you could search on google.com for how to capture, record and convert blockbuster videos and movies to ipod and I'm pretty sure you'll get tons of results...

Hmm, this question on how to capture or record Blockbuster on demand videos is quite a tough one.

Maybe it would be some possibility to record, capture, convert blockbuster on demand videos and movies for the ipod, although if you do find a way to save blockbuster for ipod you should definitely be careful not to go running round sharing those recorded blockbuster on demand movies on all sorts of websites cause I am sure that would not be too legal.

Have you tried doing some google search on how to capture or record Blockbuster on demand videos?

Maybe you could find some sort of blockbuster recorder app for the job, though I can't imagine how exactly it would work....

If you ask me I don't think you could capture or record, save Blockbuster videos and movies, even if you actually wanna record blockbuster on demand videos and movies.

If dvd's have some sort of protection, that you can sure as hell bet that blockbuster on demand movies also have some sort of protection on them which would make it not possible to record, capture, save Blockbuster movies for your ipod or cell phone or whatever like you would do with any other video streaming website.

Sorry to burst your bubble on this.

Hmm, if you ask me I just don't think it would be possible to record or capture Blockbuster videos and movies.

I am pretty sure they must have some sort of protection on their dvds or something like that anyways which would not allow you to record and save blockbuster movies on your pc.

Indeed it's quite a shame that they still don't support ipods or psps , I also would have liked to be able to watch blockbuster movies directly on my psp when I'm away from home.

I never heard of any blockbuster recorder app, but oh well it never did cross my mind to even try to see if someone has actually found a way to capture or record Blockbuster on demand videos.

Too bad that you only wanna watch blockbuster on demand videos and movies on the ipod, cause they do seem to have some option to actually be able to download and stream blockbuster on demand movies and videos on the go, it's mentioned here:

http://www.blockbuster.com/download/waystowatch/onthego

You could watch Blockbuster on demand on HTC and Archos and I see there that they are also planning to bring blockbuster on demand on motorola phones soon.

Maybe you could wait some time and instead of trying to find a way to capture or record and convert Blockbuster on demand movies for ipod, you could get a motorola phone and watch blockbuster movies directly on it.

I for one don't really understand what you exactly want, because as far as I know blockbuster's files are protected and they cannot be captured or recorded or anything this kind.

But as I saw the above guys said that it's very possible to capture and record Blockbuster videos, can you please tell me how to do that? Because I have tried too to record and save some videos from Blockbuster's dvds on my pc in order to transfer it to my phone, but I couldn't do anything.

So, if any of you knows how to capture and record movies or any videos from Blockbuster, please fell free and post here, at least a tip or something.
