Anyone know how to recover missing emails from outlook express inbox after a computer crash?

I have lost three years of emails in my outlook express inbox following a computer crash & I'd like to know if there's a way of recovering them. A similar event happened a year ago when I lost all the emails in my sent items. Any help would be much appreciated. I am running Windows XP. many thanks, Boyd.

ohh no... if u were in a client server architecture, then it will be possible to retrieve it thru the server... but im assuming you are talking about home...so everything is stored in the hard disk. what you can do is use this software called, 'getdataback'.... i dont think it is free but it will definitely cost lesser than going to a factory to get ur data back. the software is good for retrieving lost deleted or corrupted data back. hopefully it works for you.

Some month ago I lost my computer datas. Looking on the web for a program that could recovery my data, I found a free data recover software called Wondershare Data Recovery and I was able to recover all my lost file very quickly! This is the website where I've downloaded it http://bit.ly/1qaI6G7

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

I can try explain how to get your old emails but I do not know your exact situation/scenario, but il try. I am using WinXP and Outlook 2007.

In Outlook, Click Tools->Options then select Mail setup tab, click on data files button, it will show you where files are stored for the different email accounts you have setup on the mail client. Copy down this location, then click out of the window(s) open above. Click on file (in Outlook), and select Import and you should be able to import all your email and addresses. Otherwise, if you cannot import, or if your emails were on a different machine, copy those files from the old location to the new location which is shown in Outlook (see above...how to find where email/address files are stored). Hope this helps.
