you can't much

but i notice your installion install win2000 AS which is a older verison of windows.

usally what happends is that win2k installion would think xp is a different OS so doesnt' touches it. and creates a new partition.

i done this once b/c i need to use win2kas, so i had to install in my winxp machine, inwhich was okay at first then when i got winxpserver i didnt' need it n e more to run my server up.

you have a dual boot menu if so there is way.

if you are reciving a dual boot menu when you start your pc youc an restore winxp for while but i'ts not sas good as reformatinga nd installinga new xp which u need the cd for that.

email me if you have a dual boot i can help u out.

Theres no solution to restore after format. You need to have XP installation CD to install again or stick with Advance server. Thats more better than XP

If your PC originally came pre-installed and you DID NOT re-partition the hard drive then you should have a recovery disc and the complete XP installation on a hidden partition.

You should be able to re-install XP using the recovery disc.

If you removed the partition when installing 2000AS OR it was not pre-installed AND there is NO hidden partition then you will need an XP installation CD.

Does the PC case have the XP Licence info attached on the side with your XP Product Key ?

You will need this to re-install XP.

if you installed another one, then we cannot restore your previous one...if you format only, and then, no changes made, then we have a change to recover your data...sorry!
