I have tried increasing the disc space used etc, but the computer keeps it the same. I wondered would it work better if I chose "No Paging File" ?

So long as you have enough RAM to run your processes there will be no problem.

turning off the paging file

will force windows to load in to the RAM

thus making your computer to run faster.

Hi....

virtual memory is a memory mgmt. developed for multitasking kernels; This acts as Virtualized instead of various devices (such as RAM or disk storage drives)

* there is only one Primary Module to execute i.e. RAM ( In LIMIT )....

So sometimes it needs to execute a large file than the size of the RAM ...

"THERE NEEDS THE VIRTUAL MEMORY....."

HDD can be used as the virtual memory ... .....

1] With more the RAM you have the FAST EXECUTION .... So by having some virtual memory It increases the speed

2] Increases the Power of handling Large Program's

3] Sometime BLUE SCREEN error comes due to High Processing which are decreased by increasing it..

4] Not enough Memory to be used as virtual.... If u Use then not much benefit of it...

5] Must be Some Virtual memory ......---------- Recommended ( In Every partion of the Disk )

CHANGING THE SIZE OF V- MEMORY

*]Open the SYSTEM properties

*] Then ADVANCED TAb.....

*]Settings under Performance......

*] then change it as acc. to the size..

thanks

u can change the page filing from C t D, select D set the value that on C, then select no page filing on C, u still need page filing, but now it's on D, U can get more memory back, bt turning off system restore, after it's dumps about a min. turn it back on, check ur temp file, over time it can build up a lot MB's, u can delete them, in run type %temp% & hit ok, that will take u t ur temp file, with it closed hover ur mouse over it, it should how many MB's r in there if a lot, open it & go t edit, select all & hit delete, & junk files there hard to find so use CCleaner, it's free, & it will clean a lot more for u.:)

Disabling paging would really upset quite a lot of applications, and certainly slow your system to a crawl.

You don't specify what kind of system, OS or applications, so it's hard to be specific.

For most simple, out-of-the-box applications, it's best to let the system allocate the size.

This is usually an option on most OS's

That is not recommended, alot of programs and system will expect a paging file.

digital memory is area allotted on your stressful stress for those situations that your actual memory (RAM) isn't sufficient. to boost the quantity of digital memory pass to regulate Panel > device > progressed > overall performance > Settings > progressed > digital memory "exchange" > custom length > regulate as mandatory. a million.5 situations your actual RAM is a solid minimum and thrice your actual memory in MB is solid to your maximum.
