Delete the temporary type of files. Launch Disk CleanUp as shown here:
1. Click Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk CleanUp.
2. Select a disk, and click OK.
3. Follow the on screen instructions.
Using Check Disk utility in Windows, check the hard disk for possible bad sectors. Open My Computer, right click a drive, and select Properties. Click Tools tab, and then Check Now | Start.
If the problem still persists, then restore the corrupted system files to their original versions. Click Start | Run, type "SFC /ScanNow" and press ENTER.
