1) You could try installing more RAM into your computer to speed it up. A new motherboard with a updated processor can also help

2) It means that your internet connection is downloading information at a rate of 24 Megabytes per second, and shows how quickly you can download.

3) It would depend on how fast a connection you have. A cable connection provides ideal speed for gameing

4) If you are downloading movies and songs from your computer a lot, it may slow gameplay a lot. If your computer doesn't, then don't worry about it

1) That depends on what, if anything, is making it slow.

2) That's the connection speed from your computer to your modem or router. (Since an internet connection is only as fast as its slowest link, and the internet runs about 1mbps per connection, you can download about 24 files at one time at full speed.

3) You'd need a crossover cable. It's better to connect the X-Box to the router.

4) If you turn the computer off, the X-Box isn't connected to the internet. If you have a router between the computer, or the modem is doing address translation, X-Box live won't work.

1. Run a defrag program and a spyware/adware remover.

2. That is showing your maximum or current (depending on your computer) network throughput speed.

3 and 4. You will need a router to have both your computer and Xbox hooked up to an internet connection simultaneously.
