How can i find this file?
About a week ago i opened a pdf file from my uni 's website. The file has since been taken down and i did not save a copy. is there anyway i can find this file on my computer? Could it stay under temporary files until i permently delete it? How can i retrieve it again?

there is a trick on google that you can use to try and locate the file from another source, so long as you know the name of the file.



Try putting the following into your google search engine bar.



intitle:"index.of" (pdf) name.of.document -html -htm -php -asp -cf -jsp



It's important that if your file has many words in it's title you seperate those words with a period/full stop/whatever you might call it. That MAY work, it doesn't mean it will though.

based on your computer settings they may be there or automatically deleted.



try searching the file name or search with the name'*.pdf'



if u donot find it the only hope is reopening the file from the site

as far as i know, temporary file are many times lost when you close your computer and many times unknowingly deleted when you delete your history. many times it is also stored in different file formats.
