Your school evidently uses DPI blocking, so proxies won't work simply because they *are* proxies. The only thing that will work is going to sites that aren't blocked. Sites that are blocked (including proxies) are blocked by their content, not by their address, so if it looks like a proxy, or a social networking site, it's blocked. You could hack into the school's network, but that's highly illegal, and takes a lot of knowledge and esperience just to do it, and YEARS more experience to do it without getting caught.



Face it - you're just going to have to limit your playing to when you get home.

Most probably your school filters block all proxies. You can try other proxies or try to install UltraSurf as already suggested, but I doubt you have the rights to do this.



Or you can try using a proxy from a server that is not located in the US. For example, http://www.mynlproxy.info. You never know.

I suggest you setup cygwin and openssh-server on your home computer, and put putty and a portable version of firefox on a usb/cd



then you can setup an encrypted channel between your home and school. that way your traffic will be proxied through your home computer. but no filter will be able to use it because of the heavy encryption used. :) this is what i did at school

If you're trying to get past a site restriction than you can use UltraSurf: http://www.ultrareach.com/ I don't recommend telling everyone because the teacher's will probably find out that you have it and will find a way to block it.
