If it's a Flash video (.flv) format then you're out of luck.

Each time that a Web browser plays a Flash video file, the .flv file is saved into the temporary folder of Windows. Normally, you cannot copy this temporary file to another folder, because the flash player locks the file exclusively. Also the file is automatically deleted when you close the Web browser.

Most videos displayed on web pages are in Flash (.flv) format.

Also it depends upon your browser.

Did you try doing a web search for "videocacheview" ?

Not everytime a file needs to be saved when viewed from youtube or for that matter any flash movie viewed online. You can try right clicking on the video window (the actual video screen which is being watched) which opens up "Adobe Flash Player Settings" and then click on third the icon which looks like a folder with a green arrow at the bottom of the settings window. This will open the "Loca Storage" option. Once there, you have to set the limit to unlimited and then view the full video. You should then have it in your temporary internet folder. If locating the temporary folder itself is the real issue then you can go to "Internet Properties" for IE (if you are using IE) and then to "Settings" under "Browsing History" Tab. Once in there click on "View Files" which should take you to the folder where these temporary files are stored. That should solve your problem !

It is not possible i guess, the only hope remains if you manually go to the temp folder and try finding and copying the video to a safe drive.. hope this works for you thanks..
