So, let me say exactly what happened so some of the more tech savvy people than me can help:

I torrented Far Cry 3 to try it out before I bought it, and I kept losing my saves when attempting to play it (This was extremely frustrating.) After this, I bought far cry 3 via g2play.net, where there was a separate installer, and a key to put in to uplay. So I bought it, without deleting any of the torrent files, and what happened was I couldn't connect to online services. I'm guessing this was because of the torrent patch or something. Therefore, to fix it, I deleted the torrent files, then tried to reinstall it. After this, I tried to launch via uplay, and a message came up saying "Cannot launch game. Please make sure you have it installed correctly, if problem persists, please contact ubisoft support." Anyway, I cant delete the torrent files, as in the original folder that the crack came in, because it says it's open in another program, however I dont know if this is causing the problem. So I deleted the REAL game files and it says the same error message. Anyway, if anyone has advice, please give it. I really, REALLY want to play this game.

P.S: I got through the first 4 hours of the game, lost that save, then tried it again, got an hour into it, and lost that. Went in to try it a third time, got an hour into it, and lost that save. So now I really want to play this. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thanks.

Try rebooting your computer and then deleting the torrent files. Make sure you delete them from utorrent or vuze first then completely exit out of it and make sure it is not running in the background. Then go to where your file originates from and delete it. This should work. Then install the game you bought off the Internet. This should fix the problem. Hope this helps!

Hello SuperSherman >:D , I found this on your facebook page and this is what I found for you after Google'ing it for 20mins :)

"For those who cant save their progress try this:

Go to your installation folder-C:Program FilesFarCry 3bin and locate orbit_api file.Open it and change the GameId=46 to GameId=48.Save it and run the game as administrator always."

If this does not work please reply as soon as possible so I can help you by asking a computer pro from a GTA SA:MP server . He is boss in computer :) !

Good luck hope it works !

EDIT HERE !!!! : I found another one for you

Step 1.

Open your Far Cry 3 Folder then enter "bin" and you should have a file called "orbit_api" , opet it with notepad and change the game id to 48

Step 2.

Open your Uplay Folder , for example mine is C:Program Files ( x86 ) / Ubisoft/ UbisoftGameLauncher , after you enter that folder you will see another folder called "data" Open it

Step 3.

Search for a Folder that has the number 46 and rename it to 48 , like your game id ,

Step 4.

Enter the game and save as well autosave should work , you will not be able to unlock achievements because you took the game id form an other game but your save will work perfectly

2nd edit:

I just pmed your FB fan page for your youtube channel and as I said i am not sure if it will work 100% as I do not own a FC3 game T - T , I am 13 btw so idk about advanced techy stuffs

Check for the torrent download is installed or not. Uninstall it, full scan your PC with updated antivirus and remove torrent files and downloaded files from your pc and restart.

Then Install your bought game, I may work.

Try installing it in another PC just to make sure whether is your PC or the g2play.net installer that is causing the problem. Always uninstall software using the official uninstall way to win7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program
