The SE P1 runs on the Symbian Operating system with UIQ3 user interface. All software that has a .sis or .sisx extension needs to be symbian signed to install. There used to be an easy way to do this yourself but I don't think it is possible anymore. You can hack your phone to allow installation of unsigned applications - just Google "P1 hacks" or something like that.
Have a look at Core Player - it is a video/music player that supports a lot of formats, including .avi
