I can't upload and I have problems with downloads ?

Question

Okay, so starting recently I have been unable to upload anything form my hard drive to the internet, and occasionally a similar problem with downloads. What happens, is say I'm on Facebook, I go to upload a new profile pic or something, but when I hit the upload button, nothing happens. My task bar kinda flashes a little like its trying to open a new window, or minimize the current, but in the end nothing happens. No window opens prompting me to select a file like it used to. And not just Facebook, every site I try to upload. Relentless of file type or format. A similar problem has occurred with downloads, in the sense that upon hitting download the task bar flashes than nothing happens. Though as far as I can tell their is no correlation between the working an the non. Now as a bit of help I am using a Gateway NV59CU 64 bit running Windows 7 and a Google Chrome browser. No major changes were made to the system when the problem first arised insofar as I can tell. Before any one suggest it, I can not restore my computer to a previous point, nor has customer service for the varying products been any help. Suggestions please.

First steps I would do is deleting and reinstalling Chrome and/or try Firefox. Also be sure to clear cookies and cache of the computer, and also defrag the computer. The memory might be full and it's kind of "draging"



Also get spybot it's free...and do clear the cookies and cache PLUS look for a nasty virus that might be in there.

My issues are that i'm 18 and that i've got not got a job, I left college at 13-14 and on no account went lower back, I haven't any GCSE's and not the rest, i won't be able to get a job to help my mum who's suffering a week to maintain a roof over our head. i come across it no longer undemanding to fulfill new human beings, or to even go away the homestead as i think that I even have Agoraphobia and obtainable Asperger's Syndrome - in basic terms like my brother. Yeah existence isn't undemanding, yet i'm attempting to pull myself jointly the suitable i will, one step at a time & all that.. in basic terms experience especially valueless from time to time, suicidal innovations have cropped up extra desirable than as quickly as.. yet i do no longer think of I even have the balls to kill myself, or i might have performed it already.

there is a problem withe your connection most likely your router and modem need a restart go to the site http://www.speedtest.net/ before resenting and do a speed test. then do a reset and run a speed test again. see if you gen any improvement. you should also know what your paying for, like how much download and upload speed your internet plan should have.



its a good idea to ran speed test few in a row sens they will differ by +,- 5% and note a mid point.



if this doesn't work call your SP. maybe there is a brake in the line or something
