JPEG's do not support animation. That image is a GIF file with an incorrect extension. It isn't a JPEG.

Hope this helps,

jpeg does not support moving pictures. You need to manually provide the sequence of images and the delays between transitions via a script code. Each individual frame is a separate jpg image. You cannot have one individual jpg file that's animated. It only works on web pages with the appropriate applied script.

If animation is all you're after, stick to gif, much easier and practical to implement.

It's not a jpg I don't know how or why it's reporting as a jpg for you. The base rule stands firm, jpg image format does not have provisions for moving images.

when I drag it to my desktop it is a gif, I right mouse and save as... it reports as gif.

The only explanation I can think of is that the uploader has renamed the gif file to jpg before upload.

That's a GIF file with the wrong extension.

If you try to download it and open it with Irfanview, it says it has the wrong extension.
