How do I delete extra blank lines in a word document?

I apologize if this sounds confusing because I'm not very good at explaining sometimes. Anyway, I copied something from online into Microsoft Word and now my document has over 200 pages, because after each line of text, there are 3 extra blank lines followed. Which make the whole documents so long... Below is an example of the document looks like:

--------Example----------

This company collapsed so quickly and so entirely.

It just immediately had all the makings of a gigantic scandal.

So many of 'em were blinded by the money.

They didn't see that they were sinking their own lifeboat.

----------End of example-------
And that is why the whole document ends up at over 200 pages although the information, if added together would probably be much less pages.

I need to know a "faster" way to delete the extra blank lines besides "manually" deleting one extra blank line at a time? Is there a way to delete "all of the blank lines" together? Thanks!

You can use search and replace to pull out paragraph separator marks and replace them with nothing.

Press CTRL-H and then click the More button on the dialog box that appears. Put the cursor in the Find What box and click the special Special button, and select Paragraph Mark (that will insert a "^p").

If you do this three times and click the Replace All button, then it will pull out the carriage returns and squeeze the lines together.

Use the Edit Undo feature if you want to experiment with how many to pull out.

If it doesn't work then as mentioned, you can also try adjusting line spacing by changing your paragraph formatting.

If opt to get signature of both people, draw a table with 2 columns, write the names and titles contained in the packing packing containers. Hit the format command & choose border and shading from the pulldown menu. get rid of the aspect and bottom borders of table and leave the proper border line, which will enable signatories to signal above the line.

Go to where it says "File, Edit, View,..." then press "Paragraph," then press spacing, now change the spacing to single. Or just delete the extra spaces.
