i downloaded a file > ((wrestlemania xxiv 2008 ppv hdtv x264 widescreen (bm) (gid)) from mininova. it has 3 files in 1 and under each file when i open the folder it has avi and the avi logo for each file. so i use nero start smart as normal to burn the file or files to a dvd disk and play it in my dvd player which supports avi, divx etc. but my dvd player doesnt support this format for some reason even though it says the file type is avi. so can somebody recommend a program to use to convert the file i descried at the top to divx, dvd or a straight forward avi format. i dont understand why my dvd player wont play the format when it says all the files are avi but just wondored whether someone knows a good program to perhaps convert the file above to a format the will play on my dvd player; the player is an LG multi format recording dvd+rw?

One sure thing: All Standard DVD players read the standard DVD format... the files you have now are in AVI format..

I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

1. Download ConvertXtoDVD here:

http://www.burner-software.com/AVI-to-DVD-Converter/AVI-DivX-XVid-to-DVD.php?exact=ConvertXtoDVD3

It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, mp4, avi to dvd

2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

3. Insert blank DVD

4. Click "Convert"

5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,

for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.
