I am trying to do a one-whole-page table using Word, but as I subdivide it, it starts to grow and spill onto the next page, which is totally useless to me. How can I present this, and keep it on one page?

Use a smaller font, then Table/Select/Table, then right-click and choose Table Properties, click Options, select Auto resize to fit contents. Then OK till you are out.

If you are creating a basic table

to then subdivide

Select the basic table

Table properties

Set row height -

Then any rows set within will not spill over.

or

In the File menu

select print preview

then shrink to fit

this icon is like 2 pages shown with a little looping arrow at the top right hand corner

You have to have a document that

spills onto 2 pages first

before you use the shrink to fit

Go into table properties and make each row a specifici c(exact height), untick the option to split rows over pages). Just remember that if you do not set height of rows, every time you enter in a row it creates a new line., so Quite often though the extra page just comes at the end of a table and all you need do is put on your hidden characters and you will see the line breaks you have made by using the enter key so can delete.

Go to table property by table menu or dabble clicking on the table where showing the four arrow mark, and change. Text raping

Or adjust page size, margin or table rows width.

I don't think Pell grants should be given to illegal immigrants either, if she wanted to study in the U.S. she should have come here as an international student with a Visa. I have plenty of friends who do that and go to school with me. plesase don't bash illegal immigrants because not all of them are the same. The majority come to the U.S. in an effort to integrate into this nation. That's what my father did, he came illegally from Uruguay and he work his butt off to provide a better life for his family. Every single person in my family is a citizen and we work just as hard. On the other hand, I feel you on the whole paying for school thing, I don't get Pell grants and I am pretty sure I'll be paying back loans school loans until I die!
