Is there a way to re- route all the bandwidth to one computer?

Ok as far as I can tell the connection speed is 400 Mbps which is split 4 ways at 100 mbps each. Is there a way to change it so I can get extra speed to a certain computer without having to do alot of programming or stuff. I'm just moderate at computer stuff so if you know how you may want to dumb it down

Only if you know how to mess with a router! (And if the router has that kind of config available, most home routers do not have "traffic shaping" capabilities)

In general, bandwidth is simply given on as available basis.

Unless you have Gigabit Ethernet between the PC and the hub/switch/router, you WILL be limited to 100 Mbps, as that is the limit of the wiring and protocol.

How have you ascertained the bandwidth is evenly split among computers? Most home routers do not have this very advanced feature. Are you asking about a corporate environment?

What happens when one or more computers are turned off? Is the bandwidth still throttled, so only 100 Mbps is still piped to the active computers?

Under most circumstances, bandwidth is consumed by the computer(s) most demanding it. Thus, if one computer is streaming video and another is checking email, the streaming video will consume more bandwidth overall.

If you have admin rights to your router, you can check some of its advanced features. You might be able to block some ports if you know other computers are doing things that might be frowned up (can you say, "Torrent sharing?"), but otherwise, you may just wind up being an uncooperative "netizen."

To be honest, you would have to find what computer is the administrator of all bandwidth control. Then, you should be able to access that computer and change the settings for each PC that is connected to that network. If you are the main routing computer you should have a manager, or some other piece of software that will allow you to change bandwidth amounts for each user.

That's all I can input. Sorry if that doesn't help.
