Here is his post:

"Your laptop may still be loading up on old software which doesn't support touch screen. go into windows explorer and find the system32 folder. (on windows 7 its in C:\Windows\System32\ windows 8 should not be too different)
delete this folder as if has old 32 bit software. the new 64 bit will be loaded (if you can use windows 8 then it is loading). once you delete the system32 folder your computer wont have any remaining old software to default on and you will have touch access."

I was trying to get touch screen capabilities on my laptop but now I just want it to start back up. What can I do? I don't have a install disk. Please help!

The person who gave you this advice is clueless and/or clearly wanted you to break your machine. To get any sort of new or foreign hardware to work properly you almost always have to search for their device drivers if they do not automatically work via plug and play.

Try booting your machine to 'last known configuration' by powering it on, the repeatedly pressing f8 until a menu displays.

Oh my God, you're an idiot. system32 is the most important folder on the entire computer, nothing runs if it's not there. You're gonna have to go get it repaired somewhere to get the folder back. You'll probably lose everything on the computer in the process.

Take it to geek squad but you never delete folder 32. It turns your computer to an expensive paper weight.

You must have misread the answer. I believe the answer was to delete C:\Windows.old\System32 not C:\Windows\System32.
