copy-paste problem?

i cant copy paste anyhting on computer. for example i choose a text to copy(lets say "what a nice tree" sentence), but it doesnt paste it, whatever i selecte, it only writes "hello!"
what is the problem ? how can i get rid of it ?

well its possibl you have a virus and also possible its not a virus, so dont start having heartaches yet.



First, it's possible you you have some already copied data (like your "what a nice tree" on your clip board, so when you click on the paste icon or right click and then click paste, it will paste what had been on the clip board (that is what is on computer memory) and not what you newly intend to paste.



So to paste a new data where you want it pasted, you'll have to highlight the fresh data to be pasted, copy such and then paste it at the desired destination, this should work.



If it does not work, then we can say maybe there's a problem with the software. The problem could be a file corruption problem or a virus problem. If its a file corruption problem, you'll need to re-install the software (office) package, but if its a virus probs then you'll need an antivirus package.

Probably the word 'hello' has been saved in your clipboard.

1.First select the sentence/s to be copied.

2.Right click and click on copy.

OR

Edit>Copy

3.This will automatically replace 'hello' in the clipboard.

4.Click on paste at the place you want to paste it.

5.If it still does not work,

(i)Your computer might hav been infected with virus.

(ii)It might be corrupt

(iii)You may be trying to copy something beyond the scope of the computer.(like copying something from Word and pasting in Paint)

try to use the other methods for copy and paste (from edit menu, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, right click and select from popup-menu the copy and paste..etc)



if all this methods didn't replay, try to test to another software like notepd, ms word...etc, so if it works then the problem from ur software, maybe have option, or security issue
