Don't do anything to those!

You can end up in dll hell. Dlls are automtically used by various applications including your operating system which does everything for your computer from making your mouse work to displaying graphics.

A .DLL file is a support file and is used by one or more programs. As an example, if several parts of a program need to perform the same action that action may be placed into a .DLL file (library) that the various program parts can all use. This saves space and makes it easier when that particular routine needs to be updated. You should never have a need to "open" a .DLL file on its own; indeed, there really is no way to do so. Note: This file type can become infected and should be carefully scanned if someone sends you a file with this extension. If you want to look at the resources in a DLL library you can use a program like XN Resource Editor but BE CAREFUL as messing with a DLL file can seriously damage Windows or programs if you do the wrong thing.

A dll file is a dynamic link library. They are used to store program code for executables to link to so that not everything has to be shoved into the executable when a programmer creates it. Some dll files contain icons or other resources but not all therefore it is not smart to try to "open" them. There is software that can read a dll and tell you whats in it but there is nothing there that would interest you.

Be careful with the removal of dll files...they're there to make your programs appear and if you remove any you could have lots of problem crop up.

anyone can create and name their files something.dll. Generally, dll files are windows system files, which if you get rid of, will most likely come across some major windows issues. I dont know what can read them. I dont think they're meant to be read.

.dll files are in your registry and are keys for certain softwares to open i dont believe you can open them by itself
