I have a document "stuck" in pending print - have tried clicking on the printer item and cancelling all jobs but it stays there showing "cancelling job" but it doesn't do it! Have also gone into control panel and printers and faxes and tried there too, same thing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. For some strange reason we can have computer cell phones but microsoft can't figure out how to make software that will cancel a print.

For some reason it gets spooled whatever that means and then you are commited. You have two choices. Go ahead and let print or try to cancel.

Since you already canceled plan B.

Unplug printer from computer. Turn off and even unplug printer. Turn off computer and wait awhile ( not sure how long try a few minutes). Sometimes this works for me and sometimes it doesn't.

I have literally had a print job print days after I had canceled.

Usually what I do is cancel disconnect my desktop and print what I have to print from my laptop.

Good Luck!!!

You dong right way..... But Still the printer is on. So in it's memory the printing pages remain. So it carry on printing.

You just have to cancel the printing order. Then on task bar, your printer icon may show. Right click on that icon and cancel the printing order, Then switch off your print.

Now after few minuets, start your printer, it's ready for your job. i mean new document print.

i think it'll help you.

Re-booting often cures a lot of niggling things like this. Also you can try clicking and holding 'ctrl -Alt-Delete and if it shows printer 'Applictions' tab highlight the printer line and click 'end task'

You will probably need to go to the printer and stop the job.
