i want to download and a really big image file it's 4.3 gb in size and the extension is .psb so will i be able to open it and how?

This image is captured with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, is the largest and sharpest image ever taken of the Andromeda galaxy.

please tell me will i be able to open it and how to do it.
my pc has 4gb ram and core 2 duo processor.(in case it needs tremendous ram).
please provide a detailed answer. thank you in anticipation.

99% of the time changing a file format ending will NOT work. The file is a PhotoShop format for larger files than the standard PhotoShop .psd format. Gimp is a freeware clone of PhotoShop if you don't have PS on your computer. If you just want the picture as a wallpaper, a screen shot will work. If you want to explore it and make it a full sized picture, then you'll need PS or Gimp to open it.

Try changing the format of the file (extension) from .psb to .jpg and then try opening it. I gather it is a wallpaper kind of image you want to download
