Why is my laptop not playing videos?

I have been trying to fix this for several days now, every time I try to play videos eg. YouTube, BBC iPlayer & also 4oD they just will not play :-(! I have tried to re-install java and also adobe flash player but for some reason it says I'm not connected to the internet? I have looked on many different websites to find out what the problem is and I have checked all my security settings (Internet Options) and also my connection settings. I think there may be a problem with my LAN settings, does anyone know how to reset my internet settings to default? Or maybe any idea how this may be happening, I dont understand what the problem is?

That may fix the Video Issue..

Reset Internet Options Below:

And i'm confused wether you have internet or not...

► Internet Issues ◄

1) Unplug the Power lead from the Modem/Router, Wait 10Secs then Pop it back in.

2) Reset the Router by using a Small Pin, Hold it in the Hole for 10Secs.

3) Reinstall the Ethernet or Wireless network Driver..

Start menu, Right click Computer, Hit Manage, Select Device Manager..

Locate the 'Network' Section and Right click the Driver Your Using & Uninstall it)

(Ethernet is a Wired Connection) Then Restart the Computer.

Hope it helps :)

First, rule out if it is the browser or not.

Download Firefox and see if you have the same problem there.

If the same thing happens with Firefox it may be the OS messing up.

Let us know what happens and we will assist you some more.

Good luck.

Wow! I was hoping by now you would have solved the issue, sorry.

No, it should only take seconds or a few minutes to download Firefox... It really depends on the speed of your connection. It should not take hours.

Perhaps video streaming is not working because your Internet connection is so slow.
