Need help removing laptop password?

My mate has a laptop and he put a password on it but cannot remember it. I'm not sure what type of password it is but its not a standard password. Here is a video of how the laptop boots and what the password is like so i need help removing it.

Watch the video to see how it boots. I cannot get into the boot menu to stick it into safe mode .

Looks like it might be a BIOS password. If you don't know where the "CLEAR" jumper is on your motherboard, you can just remove the CMOS battery for about 5 minutes. this will clear all settings on the CMOS (BIOS). Put the battery back in after 5 minutes and it should boot up.

Usually I just hold down F1 while I power on.
