Help with slow internet.?

For the past couple of days, I've noticed that my internet speed has been slow. I have one computer connected to the 3800HGV-B Gateway router and 2 laptops connected wiresly.I'm having trouble with my wireless networks and my wired computer is fine. I've done speed tests on my 6 megabit connection and doing speed tests on my laptop says its about the same speed but it doesn't show when i download stuff. Downloading a song usually gave me 500kbs+ and now it's dropped to 60kbs. Torrents and direct downloads have slowed as well. I've defragged, scanned for viruses/spyware, cleaned up my drive, repaired network connection, and restarted my router. This problem has for atleast 2 days now and I'm getting frustrated. Any suggestion or help would be welcome. Thank you.

I would try power cycling your router and modem if you have one. This may not be the same as restarting. Shut down your computers, Unplug router and modem. Now wait 30 seconds, plug in modem wait till all your lights are up and running. Now do the same thing with your router, once it's up and running all lights on and not blinking. Turn on your computer. See if that helps. Also if that does not work look for an update for your router. The other thing I would look at is what anti-virus software you are using. If it's Kaspersky, Avira, and some others ones scan your downloads before they get on your computer. They use a proxy and it can slow down your downloads a ton. Open up your anti-virus program and turn off web protection or whatever it's called in your computer. If you email me the name of your anti-virus software I can tell you what to turn off for the test.

your laptop is probable slow because of the fact u deleted all of the cookies cookies infiltrate all web content you have been on in ur finished ecpu existence u erase all of them now so each new web site u flow on is gonna be slow.
