When I'm playing games such as warcraft, my cpu usage goes up between 90-100%.. Is that dangerous? or can it harm my computer later? Thanks in advanced..

Its not too dangerous. If it is consistently 90-100%, your CPU's lifespan may be reduced. But then again, a CPU's lifespan is quiet long (5-6 years minimum). Also, as long as your computer has good air circulation, your CPU should live even longer than 5 years.

Like some have mentioned before - running CPU at 100% is not dangerous but can reduce CPU lifespan to some extent. Most important is what temperature is it reaching under 100% load, because most processors would run fine on idle but tend to hit much higher temps on full load. You can monitor temperature with something like SPEEDFAN - most popular utility for that. Safe temps fro most CPUs would be below 60'C , some like i7 can go safely to 60s or even 70s but it's not good to keep them there for long. If temperature is a problem - you can get a nice CPU cooler like Cooler Master Hyper TX3 from Newegg.com for $20 shipped - it'll fit most current and older processors (unless it's P4).

If you processor runs at 100% all the time even in WOW may be it's time for an upgrade of your computer? I bet it's pretty old.

PS - you can load your CPU 100% with software like Prime95 without running any games - that way it's easier to monitor temperatures and so on.

go to gadgets .com. there you might be able to find a monitor for cpu temp. ventilation is the biggest help to keep temp down. if you keep the temp reasonably cool high cpu usage will not affect the life of the cpu.
You heard it here first Folks!!!

No, it's fine.

Actually, some processors run better at 100%.

Just make sure the CPU has adequate cooling and your case has adequate ventilation.

my pc runs normal at 20% cpu exept when compiling maps form hammer editor then its 100% idk if its dangerus but try to dont let it run for an long time it might gives an BSOD with error KERNEL_PAGE(i forget the rest) if you see that you cpu has been overloaded and your system protect themself and will be functonal after an reboot but if its good for cpu well i dont think so :P

Cleaning the register is a good way of improving the performances of your pc and eliminate malwares and trojans. A program I trust is CCleaner http://j.mp/UrAC7A

You should definitly try it
