What is the easiest way to send a video file via email?

My best friends birthday is coming up in about a week. He's currently working in Texas on the oil spills. He's turning 21 and won't he around his family or friends for his birthday. I decided it would be a great idea to do a video with clips from all his friends/family. I would be editing all of the videos together, but I don't know how people will send them. I need to tell everyone the easiest way to send me the video file so I could add it to the main video. What is the easiest way to send a video file via email? Thanks!

Hi. So of course the first step is to tell everyone to have the video files on their computer and know where the media is located.



For Mac Users:

tell them to simply open a new email, write a little message, and then if they are using the Mail application (that comes on the Mac Computer) they will just have to click "ATTACH", locate the file, and click "CHOOSE FILE". If they are logged onto their email via internet, they will have to click "attach file" on the email-message-window and simply browse for the video clips and say OK.



For PC Users:

The Procedure is the same for mac users NOT using the Mail application. PC users simply log onto their email, create a new message, attach a file (usually there is a button on the email which says attach file. if the user doesn't know how to attach a file, they will have to use the HELP section on the email site itself). They will just have to locate the footage and click OK.



It's a very easy process and can always be googled.

Better to put the pics on photo bucket or something of the like and just send the link to people you want to see it

They need to upload it somewhere for you to download it.



make yourself a live account then give them the account password they will then be able to upload the vids to sky drive ready for you to download.



by using the permissions you don't even have to give them the password you can just allow them to add to the files.



when you have finished with the account delete all the vids then shut the account down.
