I'm trying to email a friend a video of the project for our class, it's ~4 minutes long and just under 1 Gb in size. I sent an email earlier where I just attached the video directly too the email, and that took about twenty minutes to send and she still hasn't gotten it yet. I then tried compressing the file and emailing that, but it still is taking a very long time to send.

So, should sending it as a .zip make it send faster? And is there a faster way to send a video of this size?

Yes, .zip tends to be quicker. However, no matter what the file type, that's a bit big for e-mail.

Try an online file sharing site, such as

or

You paid for an item you did not acquire; I do not know ample important points however you would invariably 1) contact an attorney 2) file in small claims (where this man or woman is located and *maybe* the place you're located in the event that they do ample industry there) or 3) contact them again yourself. The true obstacle isn't whether or not you are able to do something legally, the true drawback is whether or not you wish to have to pay the courtroom fees, trouble, and time for those who were to file a small declare. I'd e mail the person, let him/her understand in no unsure terms that you're bored to death and will probably be inquiring into whether there is a authorized declare to be had, and let this character recognize your record of demands. Most likely, 1) track and/or 2) your a refund.

1GB won't go. Her server will reject the file. (Email is normally limited to 25MB.) Zipping a video won't make it much smaller, but even if it did, a 1GB video file won't zip down enough to go by email.

Yes, it should be faster. Don't send it more than once or twice because then it will fill up her inbox faster.
