Some software has been downloaded onto my computer and it keeps popping up saying i have all these viruses, i should get protected and takes me to a site to buy the product. I looked at add/remove programs under control panel, but i don't know where it's saved under. I can't delete it! How do i get rid of it? Should i just try and reinstall my whole operating system?

Do not do a new install when you can fix it -

You have a rogue infection on your system - You need to D/load 2 programs to fully remove it - Malwarebytes first then SUPERantispyware to clean the last traces - Both are free and you can just Google them -

Run the scans and follow any instructions to remove all infections found -

This will clean your computer -

I hope you also have a decent anti virus like Avira (free) running -

I believe the virus is called Microsoft Windows, the only way to fix it is to install the operating system Ubuntu, that way you won't have any more virus problems. Also, stop clicking on every porn link you see, especially any that promote .wmv
