Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me with this because I need help with my only computer and I can't afford a new one... So, all the sudden, one day, when I logged into my computer, it was slow. It was already slow before that, but now, it takes the hard drive about 10 minutes to load everything and stop spinning, and even after that, applications take around 4 or 5 minutes to open (even small ones like FireFox). And literally anything a click or right click (start button, desktop, folder, etc.) Takes about 3 minutes to display the selection box or even just the dang start menu! I was looking at Chris' answer in this question: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=A0SO81wFrslVZQwALBk5ByI5;_ylu=X3oDMTEzNjN1MWQzBGNvbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwM0BHZ0aWQDTU9DQTAxXzEEc2VjA3Ny?qid=20111227071018AAyjJSe&p=why%20is%20my%20stupid%20computer%20so%20fucking%20slow%3F but I want to check with you just in case. Its got a Seagate Momentus 7200RPM 160GB HDD with 2gb of RAM, the NVIDIA Quadro FX2500 display card, the Intel Core 2 Duo, and Windows XP SP3. Its a Dell Precision M90. Do you guys have any idea why its so incredibly slow like this?

Well, that Y!A link has some excellent suggestions. Try them and see if they help. I bet they do.

It's possible that your computer needs some house cleaning. Your registry can be bloated; your hard drive needs defragged, etc. Also, you might have some malware running on your system that could be occupying both your computer resources and even your bandwidth. http://www.iobit.com

When you get your computer squared away you might want to check out the popular iObit "Advanced System Care" program as it does all types of computer maintenance, plus scan for malware, and keeps things running smooth. They have both a free and paid version. I use Advanced System Care on all of my computers and my client's too.

Good Luck!

You can try with cleaning of temp files, also can reboot your system or defragment the disk sometimes it happens this may cause to slow down your system to work.
