ok... my open windows take up my whole monitor, when I go to the corner I don't get the little black arrow to change the size. Yet when I open a new window that page takes up everything and I have to minimize to get to my bottom taskbar and clock.... this is driving me crazy as I usually have 4 open at once. How do I change this????

This is how to get your taskbar back..Right Click the Start Button...click properties--click taskbar--UNcheck, lock the taskbar--UNcheck-auto hide the taskbar----put a checkmark, next to- keep the taskbar on top of other windows-group similar taskbar buttons--show quick launch-show the clock-hide inactive icons. Click Customize button, to put the things you want to have showing..etc..Then click apply-ok..Good Luck..

u can switch between programs by pressing and holding alt key and tapping the the TAB key to move between open applications

also try making ur taskbar always visible.

to do this right click on the task bar

click properties from the the menu that appears

make sure u D NOT have tick on "Auto hide the task bar"

lastly only when your window is not in Maximesed mode can u resize the window. to make it change the mode just click the restore button to the left of close botton, the (x) button on ur top right corner now try resizing. when not in maximised mode u will have only a box in the button when u r maximised u ahve 2 boxes one ove the other in that place

Do the followings, open just one window, take your mouse to the edge of the page and the mouse will appear like a two headed black arrow, click and hold it, try dragging it backward till the position you want it, repeat the same step through the other 3 edges of the window, navigate through pages then close it and open a fresh page to see if the changes took effect. Another option in case you don't see any of the four edges of your windows is, right click on the job on your task bar and select "Move" and your mouse will automatically jump to the upper edge of your windows, click and hold it, try dragging it backward to the position you want it then repeat the directions I gave above to the other 3 edges. About your task bar, right click on your task bar, select "properties" and check "keep the task bar on top of other windows", click apply and OK.

Use the button between minimize and X, it's restore. If it's a picture of a window overlapping another one the window is maximized, if it's a picture of 1 window it means the window is in restore mode, and can be resized. If it's maximized you cannot resize it :)

You can also hold CTRL and right click one of the programs on the taskbar, this will give you options like "cascade" and "tile".
