The Unix EPOCH is a timestamping software used by computers; it's basically a set of numbers in seconds from the year 1970 when the unix epoch started, and nothing will happen, computer programmers are too intelligent, they'll simply make a new epoch.

Before then we'll have added a byte to the timestamp and we'll be good for a few more centuries. It'll probably cause as much real problem as Y2K did. (It took me a few days to rewrite code to handle everything that could be handled.)
