Hey people!
When I start my Windows 7: Home Premium, everything starts to go smoothly. When it reaches the log on screen I enter my password and loads my desktop. But, thing is, my desktop doesn't load. It loads with a blank screen and then shows two error messages:

1.) (with "explorer.exe" as the window caption) Class not registered.
2.) See the logfile 'C:\windows\Guest.exe.log' for details.

So I used the Task Manager and opened the logfile, and this is what it showed:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "Guest.py", line 156, in
File "Guest.py", line 151, in main
socket.gaierror: [Errno 11004] getaddrinfo failed

I have no idea what it means, but hopefully it may help in your answer.
So is there any way to fix this problem, or do you need more info?

Thanks for helping me!
I hope this helps anybody with problems on their own computers!

Your Windows Startup file has gone corrupt

This is possibly via a series of complications that might have developed in the computer's Registry

I had this problem and i have seen this problem a lot with Vista not windows 7 but they are pretty much the same thing. I don't know how, but some how some way explorer.exe (which should startup automatically when you log on) no longer gets the command to start up when you log in. The problem is in the registry. To fix this (in vista anyways) i opened start>typed regedit in the search box. From there open hkey_local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/Current Version/Winlogon. Once your in the winlogon folder on the right pain you should see a bunch of strings of data in a list form. One of these data strings should read "Shell" with a little "ab" symbol next to it. Once you find shell look to the right of it and there should normally be text saying "explorer.exe" which is the command to run it at login. If you do not see "explorer.exe" next to the shell string you need to right click on "shell" then click on modify and then you see a text box named "value data" in that text box is where you type in "explorer.exe" (without the quotations) and hit ok. From there just to be safe repeat this process in Hkey_Current_User as well. Then restart your computer and you should be set. So hopefully that works but like i said ive had the same problem with vista not windows 7

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
