im trying to uninstall a game on my computer and to do this i have to move one of the files to the windows file. (C:/windows)
(don't ask me why i was told online to do that to make it work.)
and i get this error message saying:
error copying file or folder access is denied.
please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check to make sure that your computer profile has administrator access. A lower access level could have you restricted from adding or removing content in certain locations.

You have to move the file to, what, get it to un-install or install. Not sure what you mean by "make it work".



Assuming you have administrative rights, it could be that the file is currently being used. You didn't say what the file name was so it's hard to tell. Also, the program could be running processes in the backround.



Sometimes the un-installers can't find the install.log file. That would be located in the program folder.



You can try a couple of things. First, re-install the game then uninstall it. See if that works.



If not look for the install.log file. Open it with the notepad program and check to see where it installed files. If only in the program and common files folder, then you should be good to just delete the program folder and common files sub-folder, although I would recommend a file wiper/shredder. Then run a registry cleaner to delete any references to that application. Or you can run regedit and manually delete all the registry entries
