Best movie/video editor?

Question

Currently I have Windows Live Movie Maker, and it's overall a good program. I have a YouTube channel, and they are asking for commentaries now (for Call of Duty: Black Ops vids). Windows Live Movie Maker does not have the capability to record my own voice (to commentate). What is a really good, FREE, program that allows me to commentate, and also has good effects/transitions, etc.

Windows movie maker doest have that option cause your not recording with it. use FRAPS to record your video/audio. In fraps settings choose to "record external input" as well as "win7 sound". This will record your mic, and the game audio. Then use movie maker to edit the movie you make with fraps.



BTW: FRAPS does cost money if you want videos longer then 30secs. There isnt many recording programs out there that dont, so your either going to have to deal with it, or join the darkside =P
