I use Videora to convert my avi files. Do not know if it will work with wmv files. I like it. It is free, easy to use, makes most of the decisions for me, and automatically puts the file in itunes so all I have to do is drag it to my ipod icon ( my ipod is in manual sync). I think you can just go to itunes, file, Add File To Library, and chose it.

this one is pretty easy. when in iTunes, in the top left corner you'll see a file tab. click on it, then find "add file to library" then click that. locate your file and then click open.
