revered members,
my laptop has windows vista operating system and i have installed original norton anti virus premier edition . despite this, my system hangs frequently when i get connected to internet. only when i run comprehensive scan, when i am in internet, my system recovers despite getting hanged.
every time the scan results show " no spyware detected" and there are no viruses.
what is the solution to this problem?
if i fail to run NAV SCANS when i am in internet, my system gets hanged.
help will be great appreciated

This sounds like one of those freak accidents. (like when the rubber bands on my braces came off when i was eating a sliced apple) ANYWAY!!!! UnHackMe is a great tool to find and remove Trojans and Rootkits. Trojans and Rootkits are designed to be well hidden so antivirus programs such as Norton can not detect them. If all else fails call Geek Squad or reinstall Vista. Your computer should have came with a Vista Reinstallation disk. Dont get gung ho about reinstalling though because you will want to read up and have a proffessional (if you can) reinstall it for you.

O.k first thing is first most times you may need some more memory or download malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and install, get updates then run a full scan. After that restart your computer start pressing F8 and choose safe mode and run malwarebytes again in full scan, repeat until it doesn't find anything. But I guarantee it will.

Download Internet Explorer to your hard drive and reinstall it. It's the best and safest way to fix corrupt internet explorer files.
