Question:
Is there a way to email someone an entire folder of things rather than each one by one?
Clarity.

Say, for example, "my pictures" folder. Do i need to email each picture singly, or is it possible to do the whole thing at once?
I use hotmail and haven't found a way to do it yet.

yup all you got to do is compress it. you can use winzip or winrar.

youre folder shuold be maximum 8.5MB - then zip it, it might come to be about 8.2 MB

then attach it and send. the thing is that the attachment should not exceed 10MB, as yahoo does not permit it, and if your file is 8.2MB, after the virus scanning, the size will mysteriously increase to 9.5MB or so.

thus if your zipped file is 9.5MB to begin with you'll have a larger than 10MB file after scanning, and thus unable to send the attachment.

tip- what to do if the attachment is more that 10MB

simple - zip your folder. let is attain whatever size. then use a file splitter to split the files.use this link

http://www.filesplitter.org/

split your files to 8B size and attach them and send. the receiver should then splice up the files and unzip and view the attachment.

all the best. hope it helps you.

Even with DSL, emailing a bunch of pictures at the same time, takes a long time. Here's a suggestion that might help you. You can upload a bunch of pictures at a time to Snapfish.com. You can then invite anyone you want to view them. They can order the pictures online at snapfish and have them mailed to them or they can pick them up at walgreens in about an hour. I've used them several times. It's great! I think the pictures are about 12 cents a copy. I think Walmart has the same kind of offering on their website also.

I agree partially with Sam C. But you could also add more that one attachment to the email, however the more that you add, the larger the email will become and could potentially become to large for the email server account limitations. You could also upload your photo's to an on-line hosting service such as Flicker or Photo Bucket and then just email a link to the album for others to see.

if you have win zip, you can try and compress the files. otherwise, the files are going to be too huge to send all at once. I think hotmail has a 10mb limit on sending items as well as the other ISPs.

Create a "zip" archive or "rar" archive. These are used usually to compress space for folders and files, but they're also used for easy downloads of entire folders(Mostly for torrents, rapidshare, megaupload files). Just zip or rar it and find a site to host it!!!

Like Mediafire. Really nice reliable file host.

In Windows, right click on the "my pics" folder, click send to, then click zipped folder. You can then send the whole folder as 1

You can archive (zip) them. Use Winrar http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm (its free) . The folders probably gonna be too large to be sending via hotmail so break it down to smaller portions.
